External Dynamics

At the heart of any research and development organization lies a group of engineers and scientists dedicated to innovation and development. With R&D centers across the globe, Exide recognizes that diversity of experience creates a more dynamic atmosphere for innovation.

We believe that our outside interaction and strategic partnerships with external organizations create unique synergies that broaden our engineering basis and innovation platforms. This includes our activities with battery industry trade organizations such as Battery Council International (BCI); with technical standards organizations such as the Society of Automotive engineers (SAE); and active projects with international collaborations such as the Advanced Lead Acid Battery Consortium (ALABC). The Company also actively participates at international battery conferences such as LABAT – IEES (International Lead-Acid Battery Conference sponsored by the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences) and ELBC – ILA (European Lead Battery Conference sponsored by the International Lead Association).
